Artist Ryan Higa is the creator of Gruntled Funk. The artist was born and raised in the 50th State of the Union during the later half of the 20th century.
The artist has learned many things all over the blue planet from a whole lot of people and managed to earn degrees from the University of Hawaii, Manoa and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His work belongs to the collection of The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii, The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and private collections in the United States, Japan, Europe, and Hawaii.
The World of Gruntled Funk was born in the middle of the Pacific, had its wonder years on the right side of the Mason-Dixon Line, and is coming to terms with adulthood in a frighteningly temperate location.
